Cadiz on the Costa de la Luz is a city in the south west of Spain and is thought to be over 3000 years old. It is believed to be the longest continuously inhabited city in all of Spain as well as Europe. Due to it's sea location and also being a port, Cadiz is of prime importance for the Spanish Navy. Cadiz is famous for being the location of the signing of the Spanish constitution on the 19th March 1812 and is one of the major cities located in the region of Spain that is called Andalusia.
As well as being a city, Cadiz is also the name of the province that includes the cities of 'Vejer de la Frontera', 'Sanlucar de Barrameda', 'Jerez de la Frontera', 'Tarifa', 'El Puerto de Santa Maria', 'Arcos de la Frontera'
'Grazalema', 'Medina Sidonia and 'Chiclana de la Frontera'.
